Mayo and New York will contest a novel Connacht Hurling League final tomorrow after the men from the Big Apple knocked out the Galway development team, who hold the title, and drew their playing pool exclusively from junior clubs in the county.

This was a team performance from New York who saw eleven different players find the target inside the University of Galway Air Dome in Bekan in a game where man of the match AJ Willis finished with a personal tally of 1-4 from play.

Mayo will now play New York in the Cup final tomorrow evening at 7pm.
