Mayo GAA are saddened to hear of the passing of former Ballyhaunis GAA Chairman Gerry Lyons of Knockbrack, Ballyhaunis.
Gerry gave many decades of dedicated service as an outstanding player with the Ballyhaunis teams of the 70s and 80s and later as a successful coach and capable officer. His son James is currently on the Mayo senior hurling team.
Gerry’s remains will repose at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Clare Street, Ballyhaunis on Sunday from 3 to 5pm.
Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis on Monday for Funeral Mass at 2pm with burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
