Six Mayo players featured in Saturday evening's TG4 Underdogs series finale.

Galway United emerged 1-0 winners over the Underdogs side in an entertaining match played at Eamonn Deacy Park in Galway.

Making the cut for the Underdogs final selection were three players from the Mayo Women's Football League - Leah McHugh, Conn Rangers, Mary-Kate Tyrell, Castlebar Town, and Manulla's Jess Nolan.

The three Mayo natives on the Galway United side were Róise Burke, Annie Gough and Emma Duffy.

Connacht Cup

Three Mayo teams will feature in the Under 19 Girls Connacht Cup semi-finals - Swinford, Ballina Town and Manulla.

Sunday's quarterfinal results were:

Swinford 4-1 Bearna na Forbacha

Ballina Town 3-0 Claremorris

Craughwell 1-9 Manulla

The Under 17 Connaught Cup semi-finals will feature Kiltimagh Knock United after they saw off the challenge of Westport United 5-4.

Attention next weekend at this grade turns to the Under 17 Shield (round 1) where Swinford travel to Moyne Villa and Castlebar Town will host Ballyvary Blue Bombers. Westport United have a bye.
