Mayo Camogie have announced that Jimmy Lyons' tenure as Mayo Senior Camogie Manager has come to an end.
Jimmy has informed the County Board Executive that he is not seeking to extend his term after three years at the helm.
Appointed to the position in March 2021, Jimmy's aim was to re-establish Mayo Camogie on the Inter-County scene after so many years of not fielding an adult team.
During his term, Mayo contested four finals, securing two National titles. In 2021, the county achieved a first adult All Ireland title on winning the Nancy Murray Cup, while securing promotion to the Premier Junior Championship for the 2022 and 2023 seasons. Following on from the success of winning the Nancy Murray Cup in 2021, Mayo won a Division 4 National League title in 2022.
Mayo Camogie would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to Jimmy and his backroom team, for their professionalism, hard work and unwavering commitment to the overall development of Camogie in Mayo. We wish Jimmy and all those involved every success in the future.
