It’s being reported that the son of one of Roscommon’s greats will aim to switch county colours to make Davy Burke’s panel for the 2024 season.
Jack Duggan is the son of former Roscommon forward Derek Duggan.
He has been playing with Longford at underage and senior level.
The Roscommon Herald have reported that Duggan has officially declared his interest to switch allegiancies under the parentage rule.
Derek Duggan was a household GAA name in the 1990s having won the Connacht Senior Football Championship in 1991.
Roscommon have benefitted in recent years from the same rule with the acquisition of goalkeeper Conor Carroll from Galway, Conor Cox from Kerry, while Westport’s Paddy O’Malley also transferred in 2020
