Clubs delegates attending a meeting of Roscommon LGFA last night have decided that Ollie Lennon and his management team of Brian Lennon, Tom Lennon and John Kennedy should be reinstated as the county intermediate ladies’ football team management.
The Roscommon Herald is reporting that In the latest twist to the ongoing controversy, a proposal from the floor to reinstate Lennon and his management team was overwhelmingly supported by club delegates following a vote.
Earlier this week, Roscommon LGFA apologised to Lennon and his management team for any “recent hurt or distress caused” after they were controversially removed from their position following a recommendation from the Roscommon LGFA Development Committee, which undertook a review of their two years at the helm.
It remains to be seen whether Lennon and his management team will consider returning to lead Roscommon into the new season.
