Breaffy and Ballina Stephenites will meet in this year's Connacht Gold Senior Football Championship final.

Both sides came through tough battles this weekend to earn their spot in the decider.

Ballina Stephenites got the better of Knockmore in this afternoon's North Mayo derby.

The game sprung to life late on with all necessary ingredients for a local rivalry.

Breaffy won their local battle too against Castlebar Mitchels on Saturday.

The two teams meet in the senior final for the first time.

They met ofcourse in the opening round of the championship this year with Ballina winning 0-12 0-11.

Ballina are looking for a first crown since 2007.

Breaffy have never won the Moclair Cup.
