Yesterday in the Mayo Intermediate Ladies’ Football Championship, Louisburgh and MacHale Rovers played out a thrilling draw, finishing 4-10 to 3-13.
As a result of this final round game, both sides were level on points at the top of the group with the same scoring difference.
It was the understanding of both outfits that Louisburgh would finish top of the table with their overall in game points scoring tally greater than that of MacHale Rovers.
This would give Louisburgh home advantage in their semi final this weekend, while MacHale Rovers will be away from home.
However, Mayo LGFA issued both clubs with an email detailing that this was not the case and the teams had two options to resolve the issue.
Option A – A playoff game which would take place on Friday evening October 6 at 5:30pm.
Option B – Home advantage for the semi final would be determined by the result of today’s Daily Millions Bonus Ball number.
