Sligo Rovers secured a very important three points in the League of Ireland Premier Division last night.
Stefan Radosavljevic goaled on 84 minutes to give the Bit O’ Red all three points against title hopefuls Derry City at the Showgrounds.
This came five minutes after Derry went down to ten men after Ronan Boyce was dismissed.
Rovers are now third from bottom and level on points with Dundalk who are ahead in 7th on goal difference.
Shelbourne also did Rovers a favour last night with their win over second from bottom Cork City who are now nine points behind.
Ruairi Keating scored Cork City’s only goal in the 2-1 defeat.
The Westport man is now the joint top scorer in the league with 12 goals alongside St Pat’s’ Chris Forrester.
