They needed just a point last night in their game against Kerry, and ended up 4-0 winners.
Wassim Aouachria opened the scoring on 29 minutes, with the only goal of the half.
David Hurley doubled the scoring from the penalty spot on 73 minutes, with Franceley Lomboto getting the third with six minutes of normal time remaining.
In the third minute of stoppage time Hurley bagged his 21st league goal this season.
With five games left to play, Galway United are now guaranteed promotion as champions.
