A Galway footballer could be on the verge of joining the list of Irish athletes in the Australian Rules scene.
Today’s Irish Independent has Galway footballer James McLoughlin down as one of four possible young footballing prodigies who could swap the size five O’Neill’s for the footie.
Other players on the list are Cork’s Conor Corbett, Down’s Odhran Murdock and Tyrone’s Eoin McIlholm.
The four youngsters are preparing to travel to Australia to participate in a combine at the end of this month.
