Tonight’s Mayo County Board meeting will determine who will be the next Under 20 county football manager.
The Connacht Telegraph are reporting that there is one very interesting inclusion to one of the backroom teams put forward.
Sean Deane (Breaffy), Peadar Gardiner (Crossmolina), Tom Mulderrig (Moy Davitts), Damien Egan (Bonniconlon) and James Fallon (Mayo Gaels) were all interviewed over the weekend for the position.
One backroom team will catch the eye of Mayo supporters as Peadar Gardiner has former inter county footballers Keith Higgins and Ger Cafferkey on his ticket along with one James Horan.
Horan finished up his second term as Mayo senior football manager last year.
Should Gardiner get the job, Horan will be a selector and advisor.
The Mayo minor manager will also be ratified at tonight’s county board meeting, which takes place at 9:00pm.
