The Mayo ladies are through to the semi finals of the All Ireland Senior Football Championship.
Michael Moyles' side overcame Galway today in Pearse Stadium in a low scoring affair.
Shauna Howley pointed in the dying moments, hand passing over the bar to break the hearts of the home side.
Galway goaled early on after six minutes through Lynsey Noone, with Deirde Doherty scoring twice to level the sides after the first quarter.
Tara Needham scored the last point of the first half to give Mayo a 0-6 to 1-2 lead at the break.
Roisin and Tracey Leonard added scores for Galway to put them back into the lead , and Maria Cannon levelled for Mayo on 54 minutes.
It took eleven minutes for the winner to come after this, with Howley taking advantage of the Mayo counter attack to seal victory.
Second half sub Howley hit 0-3, as did Deirdre Doherty who she replaced.
Roisin Leonard hit 0-3 for the Tribeswomen on the day.
