There were great scenes of joy last night in Castlebar for the homecoming of the local Special Olympic Athletes.
The management, staff, service users and coaches congratulated the four athletes from RehabCare Services Castlebar on their outstanding success at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin, Germany from June 17th to the 25th.
The athletes won Gold, Silver and Bronze.
Well done to Caitriona McLoughlin from Ballindine who competed in Bocce, Brid Walsh from Tourmakeady in Kayaking, Martin Murray of Castlebar in Bowling and Sean Sammon from Castlebar in Table Tennis.
