Galway are out of the All Ireland Minor Football Championship.
The Tribesmen were up against a strong Derry outfit this afternoon in Carrick on Shannon, with the Ulster champions winning by a comfortable scoreline.
Derry goaled just before the fifteen minute mark, to put themselves into a five point lead.
They were 1-5 to 0-2 leaders at the break.
Throughout the second half they managed to pick scores off with Galway struggling to get on the scoresheet.
Galway scored their fourth point after 40 minutes, and afterwards Derry would hit 0-6 unanswered in the next 20 to put daylight between the sides.
