Ten points separated Roscommon and Sligo at the final whistle in today's All Ireland SFC meeting.
In what was a tight affair, Dylan Ruane's goal heading into the final ten minutes of the game gave Roscommon a cushion to push ahead of their opponents.
Alan Reilly goaled for Sligo on 50 minutes to bring the game back to two points, but Sligo managed only two scores from there.
Enda Smith (0-5) and Diarmuid Murtagh (0-6) were in great scoring form for the victors, while Reilly hit 1-3 from play for the Yeatsmen.
Roscommon go to the top of the table before their Kildare meeting while Sligo are bottom on scoring difference and face Dublin.
