The Mayo U20 hurlers are out of the championship following defeat to Derry today in the Richie McElligot Cup.
Derry led at half time by ten, with the opening goal of the game making it 1-11 to 0-4 at home.
Mayo goaled just after the restart to change momentum for a time, but the strong Derry side were able to push on and see out the win.
Six points was the closest between the sides in the second period, as Derry stretched on to win by 17.
They now await the winners of Roscommon and Armagh in the second semi final later today.
