Roscommon’s Mickey Joe Egan has been named the GAA.ie Hurler of the Week.
The St Dominic’s clubman hit 1-5 at the weekend as Roscommon captured the National Hurling League Division 3A title, beating Armagh 2-17 to 0-15.
Egan scored 1-5 for his side in a Player of the Match display.
Offaly’s Cillian Kiely was also nominated for the award, who helped his county to a Division 2A title win over Kildare in which he scored 0-4 from midfield.
Nicky Kenny was described as ‘unstoppable’ for Cavan in their Division 3B final win over Leitrim to go up a division as champions. He scored 0-7 from play, earning a nomination also.
