The Mayo men's senior footballers keep their unbeaten status in division one after a comfortable win at the hands of Donegal today.
In wet and windy conditions in Ballybofey, Donegal proved difficult early on, with Ciaran Thompson and Michael Langan hitting good first half scores.
Breaffy's Matthew Ruane and Aidan O'Shea (who was awarded the Player of the Match award), scored well for Mayo in the opening 35, and Ryan O'Donoghue's point before the break gave Mayo a 0-11 to 0-6 lead.
After the restart, O'Donoghue popped up again to put daylight between the sides - this time hitting the net on 37 minutes.
Ahead by eight points, the Mayo bench were called into action with Tommy Conroy and Kevin McLoughlin among the second half replacements.
Langan, Jamie Brennan and Oisin Gallen all pointed for Donegal in the second half, but the relentless Mayo held out and cruised to victory.
Paul Towey rounded off the scoring in added time, and Mayo won by eleven points.
