Edward McCarthy netted a first half hat trick, with Robert Slevin and Francely Lomboto also scoring after the half hour mark to put Galway 5-0 up at half time.
Ibrahim Keita and Stephen Walsh grabbed a brace of goals each, while Ryan Kelliher scored Kerry's only goal on 68 minutes.
