Mayo senior footballer Jack Carney has been voted as GAA.ie’s Footballer of the Week.
The Kilmeena man played at centre half forward on Sunday in the victory over Roscommon to cement Mayo’s spot at the top of the table, two ahead of Galway and Roscommon.
Carney kicked 1-1 in the 1-16 to 2-11 win.
Mattie Donnelly of Tyrone and Galway’s Paul Conroy were also nominated this week.
He becomes the third Mayo winner of the award in as many weeks, with Ballintubber’s Diarmuid O’Connor being awarded after a goal against Tyrone in round four.
Jordan Flynn from Crossmolina got the round three award after four points from wing forward against Kerry.
The votes are casted by the public on the GAA’s official instagram stories.
