Sligo Rovers are now up to fourth place in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division after a 2-1 victory over St Patrick’s Athletic last night.

It wasn’t exactly plain sailing for Rovers, as home grown talent John Mahon was sent off after twenty minutes.

Rovers took the lead however on 32 minutes thanks to Reece Hutchinson.

The away side equalised through Chris Forrester just after the hour mark,  and five minutes later Rovers were ahead again with a goal from Fabrice Hartmann.

John Russell’s side managed to hold on for the victory, and their second win in four games so far this season.
