Tributes are being paid to Colm Mullarkey who has passed away.
Colm was the manager of Sligo’s Connacht Minor Football Championship winning team of 1968.
It took 53 years for this feat to be repeated by a Sligo team, when they beat Roscommon to claim the 2021 Connacht minor title.
Sligo GAA have described Colm as “a leader and an inspiration to generations of the youth of Sligo and South Sligo in particular. He was the engine behind Vocational School football for decades and he will go down in Sligo GAA history.”
Colm will be reposing in the Morahan Funeral Home, Tubbercurry (F91 DV50) on this Wednesday evening from 5 o'clock with removal at 8 o'clock to arrive in St. John Evangelist Church, Tubbercurry at 8.30 o'clock.
Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11.30 o'clock with the funeral afterwards to Cloonacool cemetery.
