Westport GAA Club has been successful in their appeal to Mayo GAA over their Under-17 team being removed from the County Under-17 championship series.
The Connaught Telegraph is reporting that they have been reinstated and will play Castlebar Mitchels in a rescheduled semi-final clash, a match expected to take place next week.
The original decision to suspend Westport from the competition had been taken by Mayo GAA's competitions control committee.
It did so after conducting an investigation into the circumstances which led to Westport's penultimate round game against Mitchels being abandoned by the referee due to an incident that occurred during the encounter.
Mayo GAA have not yet released a statement in regard to its decisions taken in the matter.
