Eight Mayo boxers will travel to the US next week.
Ballina Boxing Club were invited and the invitation was extended to all of Mayo’s boxing clubs.
The trip came out as a results of discussion between Joe Lavelle of Ballina boxing club and Seamus Loftus who is Mayo native heavily involved in the sport in Memphis.
The delegation will travel to Chicago next Tuesday, September 27th and continue to Memphis from there. They will have a training camp whilst there and continue to Little Rock, Arkansas on September 30. They will box there and return home on October 4th.
