Ireland have succumbed to a 32-17 defeat to the Maori All Blacks in their opening match of the tour of New Zealand.
Zarn Sullivan went over for the first try of the game in the 16th minute to make it 8-3 to the Maori All Blacks.
But Irish captain, Connacht’s Bundee Aki, touched down for a try under the posts in the 21st minute - Ciaran Frawley converted to nudge Ireland ahead.
The Maori All Blacks then scored a hat trick of tries through Shaun Stevenson, Brad Weber and Cullen Grace to make it 32-10 at the break.
In the second half Gavin Coombes touched down for Ireland and Cian Healy, who came on for the injured Jeremy Loughman, went off on a stretcher.
