Injuries were a blight on the Mayo team this year and hampered James Horan’s preparations for the Championship.
That’s according to Midwest Radio’s GAA analyst Martin Carney who was speaking today in the wake of James Horan’s decision to step down as Mayo manager.
Martin Carney said he was surprised that the Ballintubber made the decision so quickly after the quarter final defeat.
Carney went on say that there are a number of managers within the county that will be putting their names forward for the position.
