David Clifford is winning his race to be fit for Kerry's All Ireland football quarter-final with Mayo.
The three-time All Star missed last month's Munster final win over Limerick with a calf injury.
But Kingdom manager Jack O'Connor says Clifford has trained since that game and should be okay for Sunday's clash at Croke Park.
The news isn't so good regarding Dylan Casey, whose inter-county season has been ended by an ankle injury sustained during that Munster final.
