Mayo faced Donegal in the Gaynor Plate Semi-Final on Pitch #2 at 6pm Friday evening.
The strong swirling wind that has been present all week was very much in evidence again with Mayo playing with it in the 1st half.
A scintillating half hour of football saw non-stop Mayo pressure and they led 2-0 at the break from two Amy Murphy corner kicks that went straight into the net.
Against the wind in the 2nd half the Mayo girls continued to be much the better side and had an Ursula Shaugnessy goal rather harshly ruled out.
Alana Kelly did score the 3rd goal with Donegal getting a consolation goal deep into stoppage time.
Mayo now face Waterford in the Plate Final at 1230 Saturday.
