Talks between the GAA and the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) will resume later this week, as they seek to find a resolution to an impasse over the payment of expenses that has been ongoing since late last year.

The Irish Independent reports that the GAA and the players’ body remain hopeful an agreement can be reached in the coming weeks after some limited progress was made when they convened last week.

But in the meantime a withdrawal of co-operation by players with broadcasters on match days is expected to continue until some breakthrough emerges.
