Connacht GAA have refixed the Eirgrid Connacht U20 Football Final between Sligo & Mayo.

The game will now take place at 6pm in Markievicz Park.

Sligo GAA had objected to the game being played at the Connacht Centre of Excellence.

A statement published by Sligo GAA this evening claims that the Yeats County is entitled to home advantage for this provincial decider, in keeping, Sligo say, with the hosting of championship games at all grades of football in Connacht, including finals, which has rotated between the counties involved for many years.

On the last occasion Sligo played Mayo at U20 level, in 2019, the game was played in Castlebar.

Connacht GAA have now decided to switch the game to the Sligo venue.

The game will be live on Midwest Radio with deferred coverage on TG4 at 7:30pm.
