Ray Moylette showed incredible battling spirit but came up short in the end against Dalton Smith.

The Mayo boxer had been dropped twice in the 10th round during the bout in Leeds.

The unbeaten English fighter – who moved his record to 10-0 with victory – had been docked two points for low blows and another would have led to his defeat.

The low blow that preceded his warning felled Moylette and left him in agony and in danger of being unable to continue.

However, the Islandeady man rose and fought on in a desperate attempt to find a knock out blow but it never came.

Smith managed to keep his punches high and, after scoring two knockdowns in the final round, Moylette's corner through in the towel.

Moylette’s record drops to 12-2 with defeat.
