Tributes are being paid by the boxing community, following the death of Tommy Byrne of Carrowkeel, Bohola.
He was widely-known on the Mayo boxing circuit as a referee, and also coached at Swinford Boxing Club.
In a post on the club's Facebook page, it says Tommy was part of the club's soul.
His remains will repose at his home in Carrowkeel tomorrow evening from 4 to 7pm.
Funeral Mass is at 12 noon on Friday in the Church of the Immaculation Conception & St Joseph Bohola, with burial afterwards in St Joseph's Cemetery, Bohola.
