Sligo’s Mona McSharry has qualified for the final in the 50m Breaststroke this afternoon at the World Short Course Championships in Abu Dhabi
She broke an Irish record en route to the 50m Breaststroke final yesterday, qualifying for the final in a time of 29.65 seconds to go through as the third fastest overall.
This is the first of four individual events McSharry is competing in this week.
She will also contest the women’s 100m and 200m breaststroke as well as the 100m individual medley.
