Mayo man Michael Schlingermann has re-signed for LOI team Athlone Town.
The former Kiltimagh Knocked United underage player joined the midlands club last year following a brief stint at Galway United.
The ‘keeper was drafted into the Mayo GAA panel back in 2019 and featured in a challenge match against the Underdogs, before walking away from the panel at the end of that season.
The former Sligo Rovers net minder made his credentials known in the LOI from 2012 to 2015 with Drogheda United, earning 64 appearances.
He will be a welcomed boost to Martin Russell's Athlone squad for next season.
