Stevie Gavin has been appointed as the new manager of Castlebar Celtic.

Gavin returns having been previously in charge of Celtic from 2013 to 2015.

As a player he played for a number of clubs in the league of Ireland.

Stevie’s family has a long and distinguished history with the club, his father Sean is a past Chairman of Castlebar Celtic while is Grand Uncle Liam Gavin Captained the first Celtic Connacht Youth winning side in 1946/47 season.

Club Chairperson Mr. Joe Mc Donald was delighted that Stevie has agreed to take on the role as Senior Men’s manager and paid tribute to Brian Mannion for all his work and dedication to the senior team and the club over the last number of years.
