The dates have been fixed for next May for the Wild Mayo Ultra Cycling Challenge.
Building on the success of the inaugural event held in July this year, the 2022 edition takes place on the 13th & 14th May next year, with three different distances to choose from; 650km, 300km and 200k.
The 200km route is achievable for many cyclists who enjoy a regular Sunday spin or long distance ride and are looking to challenge themselves and have a goal to ensure consistent training over the winter.
The 300km route will test riders and will require a more committed and consistent approach to training over the early months of 2022, while organisers says the 650km route is a monster and is not for the faint hearted.
Westport will once again play host to the Wild Mayo Ultra event as the starting and finishing point of the race.
There are plans for training events to take place over the coming months to support riders who sign up to the event, and for more details, click on the link www.raceface.ie/wild%20mayo%20ultra/
