Shamrock Rovers need just seven more points from their remaining six games to retain the SSE Airtricity Premier Division title.

Danny Mandroiu scored the opener before turning provider for Aaron Greene in a 2-nil win at home to Sligo last night.

The next match for the Bit O’ Red has been rescheduled.

Sligo Rovers will travel Finn Harps next Saturday 23rd October, moved forward from the Bank Holiday fixture. Kick-off will be 8pm.

Two Sligo Rovers home matches have also been rescheduled.

The SSE Airtricity Premier Division match with Drogheda United will now take place a day earlier and will be on Friday 29 October at 7.45pm in The Showgrounds.

The postponed match with Longford Town will now take place on Monday 1 November at 7.45pm.
