Galway United claim a 1-0 victory over Cabinteely at Stadbrook in a dramatic second half display.
A free-kick between Conor McCormack and Mikie Rowe set up the attacker on the edge of the box and Rowe’s low strike found the bottom corner to give United the lead in the 58th minute.
Cabinteely’s Eoin McPhillips received a second yellow card in the 66th minute and another red card soon followed for United’s keeper Conor Kearns resulting in the concession of a penalty.
Luke Dennison, who replaced Kearns in goal, came to the rescue on his debut for the Tribesmen, saving Keith Dalton’s penalty with his first touch for the club in the 77th minute.
