Mona McSharry has qualified for the final of the 100metre breaststroke at the Olympics in Tokyo.

The Sligo woman finished fourth in her semi-final, qualifying in eighth overall and becoming only the second Irish swimmer ever to make an Olympic final.

The 20 year-old clocked a time of 1 minute 6.59 seconds to advance to tomorrow's final.
