It has been confirmed that Peadar Gardiner, Alan Molloy, Kieran Murphy & Kieran Kilkenny will all form part of Maurice Sheridan's Mayo U20 backroom team.
The Balla native was ratified as manager last night replacing Mike solan who stepped down from his role towards the end of last season.
The new boss enjoyed a number of memorable moments as a player, including appearances in the 1996 and ’97 All-Ireland senior finals.
He was also an All-Ireland club-winning captain with Galway side Salthill Knocknacarra in 2006.
Meanwhile, as a coach, he previously helped NUIG reach the Sigerson Cup final in 2018.
He will be assisted by former Mayo footballer and All-Ireland winner with Crossmolina Peadar Gardiner, Alan Molloy who was part of the Knockmore winning management team from last year, Corofin native Kieran Murphy who has been an integral part of the success with Claregalway College teams over the years and Kieran Kilkenny from Davitts who has been instrumental in developing South Mayo schools in achieving great success in recent times.
This year’s Connacht Under-20 Football Championship campaign is due to begin on the weekend of April 3rd & 4th.
