Galway United have landed their first loss of the League of Ireland First Division under new manager John Caulfield.
Cobh Ramblers defeated the Tribesmen 1-0 at home in Eamon Deacy Park last night.
A ninth minute goal early on in the encounter from Ian Turner was enough for the Munster team to take the spoils.
Galway's frustration was evident as they finished off the match with 10 men after Mikey Place was given a red card in the 89th minute.
It halted United's bid for a sixth consecutive league win and they now sit 6th in the league table with four games to go.
Next up for Galway is Longford town on the 3rd of October.
