Strokestown GAA club in Co Roscommon has confirmed that a non-playing member of the club has tested positive for Covid-19.
The club cancelled its minor game against Oran / St Croan's last Monday night after a club member did not feel well.
The member has since tested positive, and will now follow public health guidelines and isolate for the required duration.
All close and casual contacts of this person have been contacted and advised of the procedures they should follow.
Strokestown GAA Club says that, having consulted with the HSE and public health officials, club activities resumed yesterday, and all the GAA Return to Play guidelines will continue to be adhered to in the club grounds.
The club is urging any members feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of the virus to contact their GP and alert the club immediately.
