The Mayo LGFA Chairperson Yvonne McEvilly has released a statement in light of the Connacht LGFA appointed to take charge of ladies football in the county.

After clarification from the LGFA president Ms. McEvilly has confirmed that Connacht LGFA have been brought into assist & liaise with her as Chairperson of Mayo LGFA with all Mayo activities.

She says they will work together for a period of time required until they can get a fully functional board in place.

The delays are as described by the President down to been not able to have a meeting within coved-19 restrictions too elect officers.

The assistance and guidance from Connacht to keep our county functional as we return to play is very much appreciated and this assistance will be vital in the coming weeks.

Yvonne McEvilly went on to thanks the clubs of Mayo for their patience and understanding of this time.     

 Meanwhile, Mayo LGFA fixtures committee aim to have Club games starting around July 20th in line with Covid-19 regulations.

 The Inter County championship draw will be live on Facebook LGFA page on June 30th.

This is to be played over a seven week period.
