The Ballintubber Senior Football manager believes the GAA has done the right thing by calling a halt to all activities during the pandemic

Kevin Johnson has praised the organisation's response to the outbreak and highlighted the role played by clubs in their communities.

The manager of the Abbey men believes the possibility of a return to the club championship later in the year gives people massive hope.

He reiterated GAA President John Horan's message that clubs must wait for public health guidelines to determine when it's safe to return to action.

The Sligo native hopes that GAA facilities reopen for members of the public to utilise in the not too distant future, even if it's just walkways around pitches.

The Ballintubber manager says that he would personally love to see a club championship being played this year.
