An interim management team has been appointed to manage the Sligo Ladies after the existing joint manager’s step aside.
The Sligo ladies issued a vote of no confidence in current joint management team of John O’Hara and David Curran, causing an emergency county board meeting to be held on Thursday.
The Sligo County Board voted to retain the current management team, but both O’Hara and Curran declined the offer.
In their absence a temporary management team has been appointed to manage the Sligo Ladies Intermediate team, consisting of Kathleen Kane, Ted Maloney and Oliva Flannery-McLoughlin.
A win on Sunday against Limerick would get the ladies team passage into the Intermediate All-Ireland quarter-finals.
Sligo LGFA offered their thanks to O’Hara, Curran and their management team as focus now shifts to today's game with Limerick at 2 p.m. in Tubbercurry.
