Scotland 1-1 Republic of Ireland

A goal either side of the half time interval ensured a stalemate for the Scottish outfit over new recruits, the Republic of Ireland in the visitors first run out of the season in Ayr United FC.

Scotland on the other hand secured their first point out of a possible nine which will now see them heading into their final game of the Shield campaign in a fortnight’s time away to Wales.

William O’Connor’s side will regroup now following the one point gained as England come to town on April 12 for the second fixture of their 2019 schedule.
