No end appears in sight to the dispute in surrounding the Mayo Ladies football side.

The county's Ladies Football Executive have offered their public support to manager Peter Leahy, and the remaining members of the football panel.

It follows a press conference where the twelve departed players doubled down on claims of player welfare issues and unhealthy environments.

The Mayo LGFA say they did not encounter anything approaching a player welfare issue in their attempts to resolve the situation.

They add the departed players have only exacerbated matters since.

The Connacht LGFA are to meet tonight to hear an appeal against the overturning of Mayo LGFA’s decision to remove Carnacon from the County Championship for bringing the game into disrepute in relation to the player walk-out.
