Dorothy Durcan nee O’Hara,
Curracunane, Curry, Co. Sligo and formerly of Gortermone, Tourlestrane - passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on 13th December 2024.
Predeceased by her loving husband Paddy, brothers Tommie, Eddie, Louie, Paddy, sisters Mary and Kathleen.
Dearly loved and missed by her daughter Eileen (McLoughlin - Lurga), sons Sean (Tourlestrane) and Philip (Dawros), son-in-law Kevin, daughters-in-law Nora and Maureen, grandchildren James, Enda, Gerard, David, Nicola, Laura, Conor, Áine and Sarah, great-grandchildren Lily, Amelia, Oisín, Tiernan and Rían, her sister Teresa O’Hara (USA), sister-in-law Josephine O’Donoghue (USA), nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Therese’s Funeral Home, Curry Village, Curry, Co. Sligo, F91 NY30 on Sunday, 15th December from 4.30pm to 6.30pm with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Curry to arrive at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Monday, 16th December at 11am followed by burial afterwards in Bunnacrannagh Cemetery.

When I first landed her 32 yrs ago Dorothy became my second mother. Herself and Paddy would check on me every morning. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
Dorothy's golden heart may have stopped beating but her memory will always live on in mine..
