Eileen McNicholas née McCormack,

Rinmore, Knockmore, Ballina, Co. Mayo and formerly of Culfadda, Ballymote, Co. Sligo (08 December, 2024) - peacefully at the Mayo Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

Eileen predeceased by her parents Tom and Patricia McCormack and her sister Breda.

Beloved wife of James and loving mother of David and Jonathan.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, sons, her daughter-in-law Elaine her adored grandchildren Rowan and Cathal, her sisters Sheila Bradshaw (London), Pauline McCormack (Dublin), her brothers PJ (Swinford), Vinnie (London), Christy (Boyle), in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours, and friends.

 

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at McGowan’s Funeral Home, Ballina (F26 V274) on Tuesday evening, 10th December from 5:30 until 7:00pm.

Funeral will arrive at Church of Christ the King, Knockmore for Requiem Mass on Wednesday 11th December at 12noon.

Private Cremation Service will be held at Shannon Crematorium on Thursday.

Eileen’s Funeral Mass will be live streamed on https://www.churchtv.ie/knockmore/

We have lost a magnificent lady in every sense of the word.
5 of us became fast friends at the Whittington Hospital Nursing School, London. We continued our friendship because Eileen kept us together for almost 47 years, eventhough we were in 3 different countries,
She was a beautiful woman who adored her loving family and friends.
I cherished our friendship and feel so very fortunate to have had her in my life.
My heart goes out to you James, David. Elaine and boys, Jonathan, Sheila, Pauline and all whom were touched by Eileen for your sad loss.
She will be rewarded in Heaven and her spirit will live in all of us.
